Ligny 1815 – Last Eagles from Hexasim Releasing Soon
Hexasim’s take on Ligny, part of the 100 days, is releasing on December 17, 2017. This 45.00 Euro game is the third game in the Eagles of France series. Previous releases include Waterloo 1815 and Austerlitz 1805.
Evolutionary, not Revolutionary
The good news for players of this series is that the rules have remained largely unchanged. For folks familiar with the Line of Battle series from The Gamer’s, an order system is also in place in the Eagles of France series. This limits the ability to quickly react and counter-march against defined objectives and orders. In my book, any game that limits your freedom of action to simulate historical control is a good thing.
Included in the game are three historical scenarios for St. Armand et la Haye, Streets of Ligny, and the full battle. In addition, you’ll find 2 hypothetical “what-if” scenarios to whet your appetite. Finally, this game will connect with Quatre-Bras 1815: Last Eagles providing an epic monster that can be played by four or more players.
There’s still time to pre-order over at Hexasim https://www.hexasim.com/en/2168-Last-Eagles.html Having ordered directly from Hexasim in the past, I can attest that the games ship quickly and arrive in great condition!
